He was talking trash first so I just came back with it. I didn't see any harm. If he's gonna get upset over a little trash talking then why would he want to play a football game?

If you think either Colley brother would have helped you are sadly mistaken. Those are probably the two most overrated athletes to ever come through Haysi. They played on some of the weakest teams against some of the weakest competition. Both would have been lucky to have even got in the game on the kickoff team if they had played from 89 to 95.

Yeah i'd say playing against the Honaker Tigers with some no name Miller guy is weak. As well as Gate City the past few years. Weak weak teams. Oh and how about the 03' Honaker team who supposed to mop up at state but was put down at sandlick?

Haysi has played against Gate City twice getting killed both times and were drilled by Miller and Co. The only game Haysi outplayed anyone was an overrated Honaker team in 03 that would have lost in the Regional Championship and not mopped anyone up in state.

OOO yes it would have mattered if either one of the Colley boys would have showed up to be the QB, the young guys could not get a bit of offense going, defense in my opinion was good, except for the 15 min drive in the 3rd and 4th quarters.

The old guys had 3 other drives into the young guys red zone that they were unable to come away with a TD...ofcourse one of those were aided by a mess up with the chain gang.

I have to agree with houndstooth...both of the Colleys were vastly overrated as QB's and neither ever had even one big game of note against ANY quality opponent...the '03 game against Honaker was basically a one drive deal other than that the offense was shut out...no passing production against GC either time they played against them. I will say that both were 2 of the best basketball players in Haysi history however.

If you wanted to make the game closer you should have gotten a couple more refs who were pulling for you to win...oh wait you already had 3 [img]smile.gif[/img]
